40 So Moses gave Gilead to the people of Makir, the son of Manasseh. And they settled there. 41 Jair was from the family line of Manasseh. Jair captured Gilead’s settlements. He called them Havvoth Jair. 42 Nobah captured Kenath and the settlements around it. He named it after himself.
